Charity Fundraiser

The Eye Institute held the first annual “Looking Out for Kids” (LOFKs) charity fundraiser in the fall of 2007. Each fall, the lights in the Hafter Student Center on the campus of Salus University are dim while donors sip cocktails and enjoy hors’doeuvres during the hour-long VIP reception. The silent auction tables are packed with unique items such as autographed memorabilia and hotel accommodations, packaged with dinner certificates or theatre tickets. With music playing in the background, attendees – dressed in cocktail attire - enjoy delicious food and an open bar during the evening’s general reception, while placing bids on silent auction items.

All funds raised throughout the night help provide vision care services and eyeglasses to uninsured and under insured children in Philadelphia and its surrounding communities. Using these funds, The Eye Institute is making a difference in the lives of children whose families cannot afford eye care services and eyeglasses.

The sixth annual

Vision Care Fundraiser occured on November 3, 2012

Eagles Quarterback,  Michael Vick, Co-Hosted the event.
The event was a wonderful success.
