
Dr. Yamada received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland while studying molecular cell biology and genetics. He worked as a research fellow at the National Cancer Institute before entering optometry school. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 2003. After receiving his optometry degree, Dr. Yamada completed a residency in pediatrics at The Eye Institute. Dr. Yamada has authored and co-authored several clinical research papers on the treatment of children with amblyopia, convergence insufficiency, and topics related to the diagnosis of binocular vision disorders.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities in the pediatric service at The Eye Institute, Dr. Yamada enjoys providing care in private practice.
