
Professional Staff, Pediatric and Binocular Vision Service at The Eye Institute
Dr. Gale Orlansky graduated from the City University of New York, Queens College with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1981 from the State University of New York, College of Optometry. In 2006, Dr. Orlansky completed her Master’s in Education degree from Arcadia University. She has been a member of The Eye Institute’s professional staff for the past 25 years.
Currently, Dr. Orlansky is practicing in the pediatric service of The Eye Institute, where she provides vision care to children, with an emphasis in the diagnosis and treatment of children’s binocular and learning related vision problems. As a certified reading specialist, Dr. Orlansky has integrated this expertise into the care she renders to children with vision related learning difficulties. For over two decades, Dr. Orlansky has demonstrated her commitment to the visual needs of children by providing vision screenings to thousands of pre-school children in the Head Start programs of the Philadelphia School District.
Dr. Orlansky acts as principal investigator for the Developmental Eye Movement Study.
