About Dr. Mani:

Dr. Shital Mani graduated from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. After completing her degree at Rutgers, she entered the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003.
After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Mani completed a one-year residency in Ocular Disease at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in New York. Following her residency, Dr. Mani joined the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts as a full-time clinical assistant professor in 2004.  During this time, she also served as Director of Eye Care Services at the South Boston Community Health Center, a multi-disciplinary health care facility for the medically underserved population, in South Boston, Massachusetts. In 2007, Dr. Mani received the Carroll Martus Award for excellence in clinical teaching at the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Mani has been a professional staff member at the Eye Institute since July 2008.  Aside from comprehensive eye care, her interests include ocular disease and community health. Dr. Mani is a member of the American Optometric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is also fluent in both Hindi and Gujarati.
