
Mary Jameson graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry’s Optometric Technician Program in 1982. She then went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science Education from Gwynedd Mercy College in 1999.
With over 20 years of experience as an Optometric Technician and instructor, Jameson provides direct patient care and supervision at The Eye Institute. She holds certifications from The Commission on Paraoptometric Certification, Joint Commission on Allied Health Professionals in Ophthalmology and National Contact Lens Examiners.
For the past 25 years, Jameson has lectured extensively throughout the country. Not only has she authored numerous articles for various optometric journals, but she has also served as editor of the American Optometric Associations’ “The Self Study Course for Paraoptometric Certification.”
Jameson has worked on various AOA committees, including acting as Chair of the AOA Paraoptometric Section and currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Commission on Paraoptometric Certification. In 2006, she was presented with the AOA Paraoptometric of the Year Award. 06/2008
