
Dr. Michael Gallaway received a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1976. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1980. After completing optometry school he completed a one year post-graduate residency in pediatrics at The Eye Institute. Since completing his residency in 1981 he has been a member of the professional staff of The Eye Institute. In addition to his clinical practice at The Eye Institute, Dr. Gallaway also enjoys clinical practice in Marlton, New Jersey.
Dr. Gallaway is the Principal Investigator for the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial, the first nationwide clinical trial on vision therapy funded by the National Eye Institute. He is also a clinical investigator with Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, a group of pediatric eye specialists who are studying amblyopia.
Dr. Gallaway is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
