About Dr. Blaustein:

Dr. Bernard H. Blaustein graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. degree in psychology.  He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1967, graduating summa cum laude.

Dr. Blaustein is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Optometric Medicine at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  In addition, he is the Director of Residency Programs at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is Chief of Optometry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Blaustein was in private practice in Exton, Pennsylvania for over 33 years and has been serving the nation’s veterans at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for over 40 years. 

Dr. Blaustein is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the National Association of VA Optometrists, and a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  He has delivered over 150 continuing education lectures throughout the United States and in many European and Asian countries.  In addition, he has edited two textbooks, written over 30 professional articles and chapters in various optometric texts, and has presented over 50 papers at various scholarly conferences.
