By Bus or Subway

The Eye Institute is located at 12th Street and Godfrey Avenue, two blocks east of Broad Street, in the Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. Ample free parking is available. 

SEPTA bus routes 28, 57, 70 and C can help you reach The Eye Institute. SEPTA's Fern Rock Transportation Center (subway/commuter rail station) is only a brief walk or bus ride away.

By Automobile

From the North, East and West, via the Pennsylvania Turnpike

Take PA Turnpike to Exit 339 (Fort Washington - Route 309). Follow Rt. 309 South, crossing Cheltenham Avenue where Rt. 309 becomes Ogontz Avenue. Continue South on Ogontz Avenue to Stenton Avenue. Turn left onto Stenton Avenue, crossing Broad Street (Stenton Avenue becomes Godfrey Avenue once you cross over Broad Street). Continue on Godfrey Avenue for two blocks - the entrance to The Eye Institute will be on the right.

From the South via Interstate 95

Follow I-95 North past the Airport, then follow signs for I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway). Follow I-76 West, exiting at Route 1 North (Roosevelt Expressway). Take the Broad Street exit off the expressway. Turn left onto Broad Street. Continue for 15 Blocks to Godfrey Avenue (6100 Broad Street) and turn right. The Eye Institute entrance is two blocks on the right.


By Train at Amtrak's 30th Street Station

Public Transportation:

Take SEPTA Commuter Train Line Warminster R2 or West Trenton R3 to Fern Rock Station (fare $3 one way). The Eye Institute is approximately three and half block walk from the Fern Rock Station.  Exiting the Fern Rock Station, walk along Nedro Avenue to 11th Street. Turn right (North) onto 11th Street. Walk three blocks to Godfrey Avenue. Turn left (West) onto  Godfrey Avenue to The Eye Institute entrance.
